Steve - I am totally with you, especially with regards to the lost horizontal space in the PRV from SPlat 2017.02 onwards, when right pane was made a lot wider. It's probably not an issue for people with big new screens, but I am still using dual old-school 1280x1024 monitors so I lose a lot of space. (I'm not going to waste the earth's resources by routinely replacing stuff that works!)

But most modern websites and more and more VST instruments tend to have very, VERY low information density so I suppose it's the way we're heading...

I really like the Transform tool as well, but I think the PRV should be optimized once again by BandLab, the remake last year left some rough workflow edges.

Set your Lenses to "none"

I haven't ever used a lens in either SPLAT or CbB.
Is setting it to none the same as never using one?
...or do I have to intentionally set it to none?

For me Splat's new PRV Track pane was a pain from the start and I never figured out why they moved the MSR buttons. The original layout had it right and I loved it so why mess with it?!

Well, one day I happen to notice the new layout mirrors the main Track View layout and is probably using the same coding.

Perhaps this made design and layout easier from a coding stand point but it's not an improvement from a work flow stand point.

Both Controller Panes could use an upgrade. I love how SO3 lists each controller along the top of the pane. Just click the one you want.

Ahhh Studio One.
Does SO3 remember the last controller you pick and return you to that when you reopen the project?
Too bad it doesn't have Pro Channel or maybe I should say too bad I got hooked on Pro Channel just less than a year ago.

There are some things I like about the new PRV, but I agree that it's unfinished and not nearly as refined as 2017.01.
If the work flow slow down problems were fixed I'd give it an other try.

Also,
Locking a screenset should lock needs to lock every aspect of the screenset.
( I should say this 25 times but don't want to annoy anyone. )

Just to say, For me the new PVR has improved my workflow and everything works the way I like it to work. I just hated the new dark background but I fixed that now buy transfering Splats Theme to CbB. I like the way you select different tracks now. But, I'm a mouse guy.
