Splat
Hi

Does anybody know if cakewalk sound centre was bundled with the latest Platinum update gets installed by default?
I've found one CakewalkSoundCenter.dll which is 1.1.0.12 (32 bit??)... not sure if people have later files (64 bit?) now...

Might have my twists in a knicker perhaps...

Thanks

Alex

1.1.0.12 is the current version. There has never been a 64bit CSC.

Thanks Scook

Argh they should specify what is 32 bit or 64 bit before installation in command centre IMHO.
Or better still - just stop distributing plugins that are exclusively 32 bit (or make available the 64 bit versions... either/or). Somewhat waters down the package ...

Thanks..

I only had my first real experience with the new store/download area yesterday. I like it well enough but I think it would be nice if there were options to view "more details" that would describe exactly what was what for each entry including things like what format the plugs are in. Still a work in progress though. Maybe I'll put in a feature request or suggestion in the Store forum. They've gone this far so just some extra blurbs should be a huge deal. Could even just be a tooltip or something.

Thanks Beep.  A well balanced comment.

Hi Splat. I have nothing to say about Sound Center except it was a complete disappointment to me.

Really I just dropped by to hi.

I'm sorry I wasted my time downloading this synth. I try to keep everything 64 bit.

It's also strange that there is no option to uninstall it after install. I looked in the windows "Programs and Features" and there is not a listing for the CSC.

I finally just deleted the folder for it under the vst folder.

Hope they improve this as time goes on. So far its just a minor inconvenience.

The C3 handles both install and uninstall. To uninstall any package, right-click the item in the C3 for the context menu.

It's bugged me for several years that what's 32 bit is not clearly marked. I don't want 32 bit and don't want things on the computer I won't use. I would like to see Sound Center in 64 bit. CCC only needs to ask: 32 bit, 64 bit or both.
