Argh they should specify what is 32 bit or 64 bit before installation in command centre IMHO.
Or better still - just stop distributing plugins that are exclusively 32 bit (or make available the 64 bit versions... either/or). Somewhat waters down the package ...

The crazy thing is that when you run the installation manually it has a checkbox for the 64 bit version as well as one for the 64 bit version.  Regardless of what you click, you still get the 32 bit version.  If I click the 64 bit version, I fully expect to get a 64 bit version.

Every 64bit version of SONAR installs the 32bit plug-ins which run in 64bit SONAR and have no 64bit version. It has been this way for as long as there has been a 64bit version of SONAR.

I think there are two things that are becoming obvious about CCC:

1/ CCC is a rock solid way to install and update in a default way.

2/ CCC needs to be updated to deal better with non-default install requirements.

If you do exactly what CCC expects, it's genuinely astonishing how well it works. But the ideal version of CCC works that well when you surprise it.

CCC just needs to have few more options to make it more clever in working for you.

Even if it just had an option to open the installer to select advanced settings or use the default as now.

Maybe they should hire Dr. Frankenstein. I bet he could fix CCC.

I like simple..... Simple means less choosing= more time to be creative....
The current Sonar works a treat. Install all and don't miss out!!

If we can't get custom install paths in the next update we need at least a report afterwards stating where the installs took place.

Why in the world would you expect custom install locations at this point?  How old is PA/Sonar now?  How long has this been a sore point with users?  This complaint is at least 10 years old by now.  That's being very conservative.  Isn't it really more like 15+?

My expectations are way less than my agitation on this one.

I think the expectations stem from a brand new app called CCC.

Edit: I may post some suggestions in the store about more separation of downloads. I'm assuming there is however a balance between allowing micromanagement of dl's within the packages on the user side and how this are set up on the download servers. A tree/subdirectory setup would be ideal for me... however at this point we seem to have more control than we have had in the past.

I also want to encourage the continuation of the offline install option because I'm a cranky old luddite who dislikes change... at least in regards to things like this.
