Just a quick "thank you" and a bit of love for the new Rematrix impulses. When I first heard them they kinda got a "meh" from me, but on second listen I really like them. Just good, useful room ambience that gives a great sense of life and depth to parts that may be a bit sterile. I work in a really dry room so that kind of sound is really useful. If the other forum folks haven't tried 'em out yet, grab a sampled piano or some drums and try them. Don't be afraid to send a pretty good amount of signal through them and add a bit of predelay. It won't give long tail "reverb-y" reverb sounds, just adds life.

Nice work Dan!

I second that! I actually kinda like these IRs better than the BreVerb plugins IRs.

I agree, Dan did good. The pop-up instructions were a nice touch, too.

So far my favorite application is using them with electronic instruments taken direct, but I've also put them on acoustic drums. Haven't tried vocals yet.

I agree the .pdf file was handy.  Immediately loaded them up in my "users" section and gave them a whirl.   Some nice stuff and it's especially nice that stuff like this is coming from Cakewalk staff.  Shows some extra interest besides just programming, bug squashing, and coffee mug pic shots.

I've not used Rematrix properly yet, but when I gave it a checking over I was disappointed at the lack of small room reverbs, which I much prefer. So when I saw this yesterday I was pretty happy that this weakness had been addressed.
Looking forward to using them.

Actually that brings up a VERY salient point. People tend to give requests for program features, but now it's open season to request changes for content. More IRs? Fewer? More loops? No loops? Synth presets? ProChannel presets? More amps? No amps?

Inquiring minds want to know.

+1 for the IR's in Rematrix, and I will put in a vote for more synth presets please.

Ahh cool, then my vote is for fewer IRs, No loops, synth or ProChannel presets, and amps. Just focus on programme features.
