Installation fails at end saying file already in use by another program although the filename is too long to read and now Dimension Pro wants to be manually registered by will not accept the code given in Command centre although the serial number matches.
tried a full re-install but same issue.

I have not installed DimPro since X1, you could try running the stand alone version of DimPro as administrator and enter the code.

Tried that still rejects it. I have a feeling that last bit of the installation does the auto registration had similar issue when I 1st upgraded to Platinum and eventually it installed correctly but if this going to happen on every update it will be a right pain.

Yes, it would be. Fortunately, DimPro is unlikely to be updated. The update shown for DimPro this time was a change to the installer, it did not affect the plug-in or content. IOW, if DimPro was installed, this update could be skipped.

I used the CCC install but Dim Pro, everything seemed to go well but Dim Pro still says that it is ver 1.5
I'm not sure if it updated or not. I opened it in a project and opened the freestanding 64bit using "run as administrator".
 
Does your updated Dim Pro say 1.5 or something more?
