Sonar X1:
I'm lost. Usually I don't go to forums for help I've been scouring the manual for Sonar X1 and looking up YouTube videos to try and find a solution. All I want to do is create a loop (which I've already created with the loop module) and have it loop for a certain number of measures. I have the recording fit into a particular number of measures with its respective time signature. However, I want to duplicate this particular recording so that I can record over it. I do not want to record "takes" over it. I do not want the recording to loop back over what I have recorded. I simply want to create duplicates of my recording so that I can then record over them. I've tried snapping to grid. I tried moving my cursor over the right side of the recording and stretching it (which was suggested in one of the locations I went to with my inquiry) and all it did was recover the section of the recording I deleted. There is probably a simple fix but I just can't seem to find it. I plan on making all of my recordings with a guitar and this is really all I need to know how to do for the majority of what I plan to do with Sonar. 

Record the audio or MIDI. Select the clip and press Ctrl + L. That turns it into a groove clip. You'll be warned that audio is about to be discarded if you've slip edited the clip.
 
Once it is converted to a groove clip you can then click drag the ends to roll it out as required.

That helps a lot! Thank you! Now that I have done this I find that there is a small clicking sound at the end of the loop. From what I've read I need to use the snap to zero crossing option, although I can't figure out how to use this for the recording. 

Like the crack is not present for the recording, its just the stopping that does it. For instance when I let the entire recording play, the clip is fine. However once I trim it and turn it into a loop, a small crack is present at the end of the recording. 

Make sure that "Snap to Nearest Audio Zero Crossings" in "Preferences---->Customization---->Snap to grid" is on. When splitting / slip editing the clip or trimming make sure snap is turned on, and it should be okay then.
