Just got Music Creator 7.  Been recording using the original Music Creator for years so I thought I knew most of the quirks but this is a new one.  Recorded the first track (drums) and when I went to add a bass track there was a lag between playing the note and hearing it.  I think I remember having this problem with the original Creator but it's been so long I can't remember how I solved it.  Hope someone knows the answer to this because without the answer I can't record much of anything.  Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.
What audio interface or sound card are you using?

Realtek Hi-Def Audio and Intel Display Audio - at least that's what my computer says.  Afraid I'm more a musician than a techie.  Hope this is the right info.  Thanks for the reply.

Is this the same system you had your previous Music Creator working well on? Were you using the computer's stock sound card in that system?
Click P on the computer keyboard and list what your settings are there, especially under Audio>Driver Settings.
You can adjust the mixing latency more to the Fast side, but going too far will introduce pops, clicks and other audio glitches, possibly even audio dropout.
An audio interface that supports true ASIO drivers is the solution if you're unable to get satisfactory performance from your RealTek.
