Yes we can eat and get gas

We can do that here in Arkansas too :) .  Oh...wait, that's not what you meant....

Seriously though, the northeast has some major problems to deal with...so a little patience is definitely in order.

I was deployed to Boston when the blizzard first hit the end of January.  (I do storm damage assessment for the power companies on the side).  Luckily there wasn't much power line damage and we left after four days.

All you people up in the NE stay safe and warm.

"February is the shortest month"  So late February translates to mid-month for the rest of the year. I'm down with dat.

Filling stadiums with snow is a good idea. Permanent conversion is a great idea. Putting in a proper liner means a new swimming hole for summer. And a new water reservoir to help with the spreading drought. And an end to disruption of my reality by the ongoing insanity of mass aggregation.

Except for the chemicals - they are not the ones you want to swim in.  Yes, they put salt etc. on the roads, then when the snow builds up they can't dump it in the ocean w/o a special dispensation from the EPA etc.  Lots of power out, too and if you look at the video (on the weather channel or Fox, MSNBC, BBC and the FBI) you can see the problem.  Even the trains down in snow this high.  Praise be to global warming or Boston would really be in trouble ;-)

First they have to get rid of the snow in order to get to the bakery. Delays sometimes happen.

Yeah, it's pretty terrible here in MA. Boston has almost 9 feet of snow and nowhere to put it. There is talk of dumping the snow in the harbor but it would be environmentally hazardous because of the salt. Even us natives are being ground down by this winter!!

All those chemicals naturally occur in cities all over the world.

And it doesn't seem to have affected the birth rate. So, they must be just fine.

Fill the stadiums, arenas, and all the other useless big holes!

You know...OT....but I was thinking and wondering why they just can't dump a lot of the snow into the ocean...  until I heard that it was full of chemicals, oil, etc  Apparently they're moving incredible amounts of snow as it is.  Enough to fill the stadium on a daily basis or something spectacular.

I'm sure they do.  Montreal dumps it into the St.Lawrence River.

Sir Les
I hope February loops for a while..(set loop markers, hit play)( stay cool in the last winter blast )....Just to make it longer running Platinum as it is...So all chime in on what if any issues, and why are answered...Seems worth waiting for...I say, as the knowledgeable teams of users put it through it paces, on their rigs!....Patience with prudence an a cuppa something to keep warm, will help pass the time while doing....

If February loops for a while, myself and the rest of New England are coming to your house to have a chat. ;-)

Dang, they have 2 more storms coming at them...we are spoiled as hell (I whine if it gets below 40) but I will probably envy them this summer (and probably be whining that it's too hot here)
