But yea, here in California (I'm in the Bay Area) we are having an unusual hot and dry summer. I'm sitting outside with T-shirt and shorts barbequing.
And I'm still amazed that the US is now the only country left in the world still stuck with the imperial(ish) system. It is such a confusing collection of unrelated and badly though out units. I grew up in a country where we only had the metric system, and the US system confuses me sometimes even though I have lived here for over 20 years now.
And 70 degrees F is about 21 degrees C. Ah, celsius... Yet another logical unit. 0 deg is water freezing. 100 deg is water boiling. What can be simpler? And 1m cube of water is exactly 1 metric ton, or 1000Kg. Logic.
