I think what Andrew was referring to paying for a few months and then moving to a paid in full version by paying the balance owing. I don't reckn that would work. Too much admin.
BUT
I sign up for 1 month pay my money then cancel at months end. Buy a full years upfront version. How could that add extra work?
Let's say I don't do step one and just decide at end of February to buy the fully paid version. I can do that without problem.
In that same post Andrew also said that he wanted a trial/demo version on day one so people had a full 30 days to try before buying but we don't have a demo version yet.
This is what I just did. I signed up for the monthly subscription and after hearing that some folks were having problems with Sonar sometimes reverting to demo mode (
This Thread) and learning that audiodeluxe.com was offering a discount, I decided to switch to the yearly program vs. the monthly.
I'm quite aware my first month's payment was applied for a different payment program, and no part of the monthly payment will be applied to the yearly program amount. Not an expectation nor is that a problem. Cakewalk garners a little extra profit and I'm fine with that. I knew that much going in.
In essence, I want my yearly payment to be viewed as a separate purchase, registered and working. It would be nice if the serial numbers would transfer from the yearly program software purchase to the already installed software. And maybe that is what happens once the monthly programs expires in a few days. I don't know that though. For now, I get a "toast" message telling me I only have Xnumber of days left on my monthly subscription. I simply want to know what steps I need to take on my side of things, if anything other than those I listed above. If someone from Cakewalk could spell out the steps/process, that would be appreciated.
Thanks
