Kind of sucks though that you've so recently been pushing what amounts to half an upgrade based on promises of future goodies over the coming year...the upgrade pricing was based on a few minor modifications."

As a follow-up, here's the blog post from Noel of the under the hood enhancements and bug fixes. It delineates why I think "half an upgrade...based on a few minor modifications" is not an accurate summary.

FWIW Groove3 has a video explaining the plugin and how the various knobs interact in a non-intuitive way in order to be true to the original HW.  If you have a year pass for the site, def check it out.

What has put me off is the following...

1.  No Resale Policy - Boz has a NO RESALE policy - once you buy it...that' it...you're stuck with it.
2.  The price is the same as it has been on Boz for the past month.
This means that you're getting NOTHING for being a Cakewalk Member...it's
     a ruse...end of story.

Really, what this says is Cake Membership means nothing...
You can pay the same to Boz or to Cake....so membership has "no privilege"

Why bother when it is "money thrown out the window" if I can't at least
recoup "some" of the investment if I decide it's "not for me"?

What is wrong with Cakewalk and Boz?  Don't these companies realize
that this policy is ludicrous?  WHY would you restrict your customers options?

Just about every other company allows for resale, just like buying hardware....
except Cake and Boz....DERH!!!

What I decided to do is buy the Summit Audio Grand Channel for $122.95
at AudioDeluxe....far more...for about the same price....

https://audiodeluxe.com/products/softube-summit-audio-grand-channel

no comparison...GC is da bomb diggity...don't believe me?  Do the demo...

I'm not saying the +10 db isn't good.... but if you decide you really won't use
it after buying it...you're stuck with it....period.  Not good.

Judging by the number of comments you have made so far it seems you already are set about purchasing it. You really want this plugin don't you!!!

I thought Larry left?

Nope. Larry has been very active in the Software forum and I thank him for his efforts there!  Although I've never actually resold any VST I've owned, I can understand why one would want that option open.  We all expect that when we buy physical things (well at least I do).

I did buy the compressor by the way!

I bought them and one cool thing about the ProChannel modules is that you can double click a dial and can then enter an exact value with numberpad. I think PC EQ is the only other module that allows this.

I am loving ProChannel these days!!! But one thing that is not so great are those miniscule arrows one must click to max/min. Make it like Ableton where you can click any part of the modules header bar to max/min. But then, that would work against the PC EQ implementation where double clicking header flys in/out big gui.

As more modules get introduced the selection method is getting more cluttered also. Maybe have a "last 6 selected" list up top, then a dividing bar with the remainder below. Or some kind of radial selection method like some computer games use. (weapon selection in unreal 3)

lastly, I wish in inspector bar, I wish the gui would flip from ProChannel to meter view with a simple "tab" button push. None of these ideas by themselves are worthy of a feature request but put together would make things in the prochannel more elegant IMO.

I have just given in and bought the bundle.

I have only played around for a few minutes, but like the compressor, and the EQ.

I will try to spend some more time with them tomorrow, family permitting..

Being able to type in numbers is nice, but this strikes me as a plug in that I will be adjusting by ear.

Having an EQ (Quad Curve) that I can type a frequency in, as a starting point, is really handy, but I am not sure that I will be typing numbers into this - but who knows?  I will investigate it further tomorrow.

My " PC insert list" is getting a little long - perhaps there could be a nicer way of displaying/selecting them.

I liked gswitz's  idea of being able to re-order them, so you can arrange your favourite ones at the top, instead of having to scroll all the way to the bottom to find, e.g., your FX Chain module.

Anyhow, liking it so far..

Please Cakewalk, don't release any more - I am struggling to justify my expenditure to my better half.

Just sold a bit of old gear on eBay so looks like there's a compressor coming my way. Yippee.

As for the changes suggested by backwoods, I'm all for them because my PC insert Module Menu fills the screen vertically and I have to scroll. Softube and VKFX filled it up to over flowing. Even if it would behave like normal VSTs and allow a folder per manufacturer. Maybe I'll put in a feature request.
