Toast notification feature

Is there a way to turn this on and off? If I remember correctly, this was added in X3 and yet I've never seen it. Not a life or death thing. Just wondering.

start a VST scan from the preferences window (not the Utilities > Cakewalk Plug-in Manager), then you get a toast ...

OK thanks. I typically run the scans from the Manager so that would explain it. Aren't the notifications supposed to pop up for other things as well?

In SPLat, it tells you that you are demo mode.

yes ... and they do ... but be happy if they don't show as it means everything is running fine ...

Never understood the point of this (or the silly name) Why does anyone need a big blue pop up to inform them that the audio engine has stopped - is the lack of sound not a pretty big clue in itself ?

These "big blue pop ups" have to be there for QHSE reasons ... your brain could overheat and melt if you have to figure out all the reasons why there's no more sound coming from the speakers and which of the X components in between your mic and the speakers just left you ...
