[Problem solved, please read the below post.]
 
Hi Sonar experts,
 
When I work on a video on VLC player, the sound of my Sonar X3 will always be mute since I am clicking on the VLC player.  The sound of Sonar X3 can only be on again by clicking back on the Sonar application, but then, this way I cannot work on my video on VLC since I need to click and keep highlighting Sonar.  In other words, Sonar X3 has no sound when I am working on the video.
 
Is there a way to keep the sound of Sonar on all the time while I am working on my video on VLC player?

In SONAR, make sure "Share Driver With Other Programs" is not selected in Preferences > Audio > Playback and Recording
