Hey folks!
I am editing some old midi tracks and am in need of assistance. Many years ago in Cubase there was a function called the logical editor. It was a configurable midi filter and macro editor. With it you could, for example, select all midi notes below a specific velocity (let's say 70), and then instruct it to further reduce these notes by another number or percentage (say 20) whilst ignoring all other notes.
What would be the easiest way to do this in Sonar Platinum?

Thanks:)

On the menu: Edit > Select > By Filter to select notes based on a filter e.g. velocity min=0 max=70.

Process > Find/Change to do a similar thing and then change the velocities.

The help file under "Event Filters" has a better explanation and examples, but hopefully that's enough to get you started in the right direction to find something.

From memory there's also a CAL script to scale velocities.

Hi
I use X3 Producer.
I hope you can filter MIDI notes :  Process > Find/Change or  Edit > Select > By Filter

I am not sure of the menu options in Platinum. Planning to upgrade soon.

Select by filter is exactly what I was looking for Rob and Seeminor. Thanks for that:)
