I need to edit notes below C0 (by 2 octaves). I don't seem to be able to do it in piano roll, event list, or staff view?

All 128 note values are represented in SONAR. Use the "Base Octave for Pitches" setting in Preferences > Customization > Display to set up the display you want.

You would definitly need to shift the entire MIDI note range downwards, since C0 = MIDI Note #0, and MIDI doesn't allow for negative notes.

That is the default in SONAR (and CbB) but how 0 is displayed may be changed and what 0 actually sounds like depends.

Some plugins like RealGuitar use 'minus' values for triggering articulations and effects for notes appearing in the + (notes) area, and setting the 'Base Octave of Pitches' option is needed in order to see/input/edit these.

This is just the way they set the note number for middle C, what ever-way you set the note it is still MIDI note 60 be it C3 or C5 just as MIDI Note number 0 is either C0 or C-2 it is still MIDI Note number 0

I have several Prominy guitars, their Martin Hummingbird has most notably 36 keyswitch articulations!
