I want to use separate midi tracks to multiple instruments in Kontakt 5 in Platinum. They are all assigned separate midi channels and go to separate outs in Kontakt, then to separate tracks in Sonar. I can change my midi controller and play them individually, and hear them on separate tracks. But for the life of me, I can't copy midi parts from another track  and have them play when I paste them to a different midi track (wanting to transpose an octave for some horn arranging). The notes are there, just like when I play it in, but - no sound playing it back ( or using smart tool in PRV). Hmmmm... Anyone have this experience?

They probably recorded with the channel info in the notes. You can force the channel in the inspector for the midi track. There are three buttons/dropdowns one for bank one for patch and one for channel. Setting the channel there will force the output to that channel.

Thanks very much. I've never noticed that info copy before, all the way from S5 through X3e. Some new things I'm becoming aquainted with. Thanks again! - Shep
