BA auto-updated to 3.0.5 this morning at which point Bitdefender 2018 moved it to quarantine....

"bandlab-assistant\auth-test.json is infected with Atc4.Detection and was moved to quarantine."

I am assuming/hoping that this is a false positive. Can someone please confirm?

I have downloaded 3.06 directly from the Bandlab site.  Try that. However, even if Bitdefender 2018 reports a Virus with this version, it will most certianly be a false positive.

i think having an update called just 'update.exe' is asking for trouble...most AVs would block this...Avast flagged it so I added it as an exception...

I think Bandlab need to rename this ...

Or it's like the free sim-cards in The Kingsmen - everyone downloads the free DAW and it tries take over the world via musical mind control!

Grum.

Bandlab Assistant 3.0.5 Whats the latest version?
I keep getting a message New Update but I don't see anything happening.Clicking the clog tool I see Checking. I also disabled  the startup  of the app but when I rebooted it still reloaded

Updated to 3.0.6 which is the latest. No information on screen this is happing. All you see under cog wheel is checking. It's slow enough to update even on 100mb Pipe.
I am happy to report the startup option now works when you disable it on startup.

I uninstalled BA and everything is still working. I will reinstall when I need to and hopefully the AV issues will be resolved by then.
