Yeah, Melodyne gripes in other software too.  I ignore it like a bad girlfriend.

I have Melodyne Editor as well. I had the same problem when I upgraded to platinum. Try uninstalling, then use CCleaner to scan the registry, reboot, reinstall, and then rescan plugs. I think thats what i did to get it working again.

Crashing is worse than what I see with Platinum and Editor. I've found that sometimes creating multiple Melodyne clip regions at once results in Melodyne "forgetting" I have it registered on my iLok.

To resolve I've either removed the region FX and added to fewer clips at a time, or saved, closed, and re-opened the project. I haven't had this happen when adding Melodyne to a single clip yet.

I hope this provides some useful context.

Peace,

Tunes

Hmmmm. So far the people who are having trouble seem to have ilock. I wonder if there is a connection?

I run Melodyne  using iLok, no problems here with Melodyne Editor on Platinum

I had an old project loaded up in Platinum, and had an issue with Melodyne hanging up and being extremely slow. Yet in a more current project it was working fine. So I created a new project, and imported all the tracks, after which things went along smoothly.

I have Melodyne Editor, and works OK in Platinum, but I had purchased it separate before it was included with Sonar.  I do not have the iLok version.

I have other iLok registered VST's such as Izotope Ozone 5 and Nectar Elements, POD Farm 2, several Antares and they are all working OK in Platinum.

Welp, on suggestion by an ol pal who really should know the straight skinny, I'm gonna uninstall Melodyne, reinstall and then do a complete rescan. I'll keep ya posted.

There is a fairly recent iLok update you might wanna try. Apart from uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling and reboot again.

I prefer the iLok licence. Makes it easy to take to my laptop.
