  • Working With Markers - Two Questions?

1.  Any way I can change the color of a marker from just black.  I have a complex arrangement and it would be really nice to be able to identify the different sections by color.

2.  I used to use Ardour on a Linux based computer - they had a "start" and "end" marker that I thought was pretty useful.  It would essentially set the start of the track and end of the track so that way - if you wanted to add an intro or something, you could just move the marker rather than selecting and dragging...  anything like that in Sonar.  (I know there are obvious workarounds, and I'm still able to do everything I want to do, but it's a small workflow thing that I keep noticing)

Thanks.

Easiest answer I've had for a while.....No to both.

Feature request maybe?

One possible work-around is to create a MIDI track at the top of your project and populate it with empty MIDI clips whose length corresponds to the various sections of the track (one for the verse, one for the chorus etc). I think you can then color the clips. It's not a perfect solution but it may help with ID'ing the various sections of the project.

Thanks, I'm aware of that workaround and have used it in the past but it seemed pretty klunky at the time ...but maybe I'll give it another shot.
Thanks again,
Randy

Hi Randy,
Yeah, it's not ideal, and certainly not a substitute for a better markers implementation. I'm with you guys in wishing for more/better markers and region features.
