Anyone have a suggestion for this?   Edge case since probably not many folks have the Waves Kramer Tapes Tubes and Transistors collection.
 
Here's what I'm experiencing:
- Everything works great in Sonar Platinum.  All plugins of all shapes and forms work properly. That includes Waves plugins and Kramer Signature series plugins.  Only the Waves Kramer Tapes Tubes and Transistors plugins (Kramer Master Tape, Pie, HLS) do not work.
 
Test 1:
- Created new song in Sonar X1 Producer.  Added one audio track.  Added one 4 bar loop.  Added in independent tests (separately one by one) the Kramer Master Tape, Pie, HLS effects to the FX bin.  VST2 versions in Sonar X1.
- Result: everything worked perfectly.  Control knobs moved freely, effects sound fantastic, Kramer Tape image spins smoothly.
 
Test 2:
- Created exact same new song in Sonar X2 Producer.  One audio track, with a 4 bar loop.  Went through the same paces, same test.  Everything worked great.  Knobs move, effects do their thing, Master Tape graphic spins smoothly.
 
Test 3:
- Created exact same new song in Sonar X3 Producer.  All effects and plugins work great, except for these three.  For the Kramer Master Tape, Pie, HLS, the knobs don't move, it takes 30-45 seconds of white screen before the effects load their image, can't control the effects (because the knobs don't move) and the Kramer Master Tape tape graphic doesn't spin.  Tested both VST2 and VST3 versions of each.
 
Test 4:
- Create exact same new song in Sonar Platinum.  Same experience as Sonar X3 Producer.  Just these three effects don't work. Same experience as X3, otherwise all other effects work fine. Tested both VST2 and VST3 versions of each.  So, they flat out aren't working in Sonar Platinum (for me anyway).
 
Follow up steps: Uninstalled all Waves plugins, wiped everything Waves from the PC, then re-installed (did this a couple times actually).  Exact same result.
 
Any suggestions?
 
 

I purchased Platinum, but am still using X3e and Kramer Master Tape works great in X3e. I don't have the whole collection though. However, I do have a bunch of other Waves plugins that also work just fine in X3e.
 
I know this doesn't help you much, but I just wanted to chime in that I am not seeing what you are seeing.

I'm running Tapes, Tubes, & Transistors on Platinum. They're running fine for me. Sorry...

I assume you have the latest versions of this software, and drivers/firmware on your audio interface.
In Sonar preferences, under VST settings.
 
Please press the reset button.
Then the rescan button..

I purchased Platinum, but am still using X3e and Kramer Master Tape works great in X3e. I don't have the whole collection though. However, I do have a bunch of other Waves plugins that also work just fine in X3e.
 
I know this doesn't help you much, but I just wanted to chime in that I am not seeing what you are seeing.

Same here in Platinum (Kramer Master Tape working great in Platinum 64 bit, upgraded from X3e Producer). Didn't have to do anything to any of my Waves plugs when i upgraded to Platinum.

Tested all three in Artist - works.
 
A couple of ideas:
a) do alex suggestion for reset+rescan
 
b) use of a mix of vst2 and vst3 - known gui issues with Waves.
Have the "hide VST2 if same exist as VST3" or similar checked.
Have the "replace with VST3 version where it exist" or similar checked.
Both in preferences.
Forget about Waves VST2 - just don't use them.
And what was tested by Waves and Sonar Platinum was VST3.
 
c) gui issues - see if graphics card have later drivers
d) normal maintenance computer - run chkdisk with every option on
Change in bios not to use fast boot - so that extended memory tests are done at boot
 
 
 

Video card/driver related?

Waves Kramer Tapes Tubes and Transistors is working fine here in X3e and Platinum.  Maybe you could try the fix HERE, which involves removing and re-installing Waves plugins.  Given that a number of us here are using these plugins successfully, I suspect something in your setup is not quite right.

I know this doesn't help you at all but they are working fine for me in X3e and Platinum and I only use the VST3 versions. Maybe it's a mix of VST2 and 3 or 32bit?
