I've been trying to get the AD2 drum map going and followed that instructions on the recent blog post. i believe i have it all set up correctly. when testing it out and getting some midi data on track 15 the drum map is there but there is no sound coming out when the output is set to DM1 ( i checked preferences and it seems to be loaded there).  There is another option for the output... Addictive Drums  2 1, and when that's selected the drums sounds play but the drum map reverts back to the keyboard display. Not exactly sure what i'm missing here. Has anyone else ran into this problem?

Been there, done that. What finally worked for me is setting the MIDI channel's output for AD to "AD2 Standard" (or if you prefer DM1) and the audio's output to "Master".

That way the drum map shows up in PRV as notes with a drum map, and the sound works.

After getting this set up, I decided that I didn't like it. I prefer having the drum notes show up next to the piano roll, in case I want to also look at the bass track notes for a reference. I use the key map reference hidden away in the Addictive Drums screen located in the ? (help) menu to figure out which notes give a particular sound.

Hi
I have looked at this myself and found that you can download free midi mapper.
I have not tried it out yet .
I downloaded It on my internet computer and gave it a dummy run to see what It is all about.
You put a drum midi file in and convert to AD drums
I will give It a try tonight.

All the best

If you edit the drum map so that the Output Port for each kit piece goes to your drum synth you will be good to go.

Note: After selecting the uppermost entry in the list you need to hold down Control & Shift, scroll to the bottom and select the last entry and change them all in one go.

One thing that threw me, for a while, when using the Addictive Drum 2/Softsynth track template. Set up looked fine, but the Drum Map Pane would still not show up in the PRV.  What I discovered is that while I had selected the AD2 track number, I needed to  click on the actual MIDI loop clip.  Once I did that the Drum Pane became visible showing the MIDI notes.

Ok, thanks Jonesey.  that worked. one thing i would add to what you posted is that you have to save the changes made into a whole new map and then call it up every time you use AD2 in a project.  it's a convoluted process but at least it works. :)
thanks again
