I wonder how I should go about whacking all the unwanted controller data from the tracks.

Event viewer?

Randy,
Just a couple of ideas:
- have you opened up event view for each track, to look for controller events? (to delete them)

- as a last resort, you could always try opening a new  blank project, and drag (copy) each track form your old one in to the new one (praying that the rubbish doesnt come with it...)

Just clutching at straws.here - I've had corrupted projects before - it's a pain in the butt.

I did check event list earlier and saw nothing but I'm going to check more tracks now...thanks John!
EDIT- when you say Event Viewr you are referring to view/Event List right?

Grayed out controllers indicate they are not on the currently active/focused track. To whack everything, select all MIDI tracks, then Edit > Select by Filter, click None to clear all selections, and then re-check only the Controllers box and OK.

What am doing wrong here...in TV I hit ctrl/A, go to edit/select/by filter, click none and then re-check only controllers and then OK.
I then go to Event List and see a gazillion notes (along with controllers).
Thanks for the patience guys,
Randy

Yep that's it (I'm not at music computer) - but it looks like you're already there ;-)

Oops. Left out final step... hit Delete.

If you're looking at the Event List after Select By Filter, you should see black selection indicators only on controller events at that point.

haha, okay...problem is there are LOTS of CC1 mod data that I don't want to delete...I'm painstakingly scrolling through and deleting the individual aftertouch and expression events...I'm hoping to be done by bedtime
It'll be worth it though if I can get rid of whatever the hell is causing the tremolo effect thingy.
Thanks guys,
Randy

You can use Select by Filter to limit the scope to specific controllers or ranges of controllers, or use the exc[lude] check box which works like a logical "Not".

For reference, here's a screenshot showing two controller lanes for each of three horn tracks with channelized events plus a Sustain Pedal lane for the Piano track. You can see that Track 5 has focus, so its controllers are shown, while other lanes are grayed out, and the sustain pedal lane is empty because the Piano track is hidden.

After about 30 minutes I gave up and said to hell with it, I'll just re-do all the mod wheel stuff and hit delete...proble still existed so I hit undo (thank god for undo!).
Anyway, I suppose I'll take this to the Garritan forum now since it's only those products (through the Aria Engine/Player) affected...I have my doubts on a solution though because there is one (of the 7 instances) that is not affected.
Thanks again my friends,
Randy
