That's quite an impressive list of new stuff and squished bugs. Well done all.

Expected ResultsThe PRV's Track Pane will show or hide the same tracks that were displayed or hidden when the project was saved.

Without wishing to divert this thread, may I make one tentative comment on this? While your expected behavior makes logical sense and having to keep hiding tracks every time a frequently accessed project is opened can be a pain, the other side of the coin is that projects sometimes don't get opened again for some time.

I'm just wondering if a project was saved with tracks hidden then opened maybe months later with data still hidden whether that might lead to confusion of the "where's my MIDI gone?" variety.

I guess I can see pros and cons for both ways of doing it....

@Rick OK and this was your response 3 week ago. Guess the answer is they are working on it.

So here's your bug fix list.

I'm sorry your issue didn't get fixed (well I'm not entirely sure if it has or not right now)... on the other hand others got their issues fixed (so yippie for them), and some others didn't (so here's a boo hoo for them). I'm sorry you weren't lucky this time around... However from what I understand they are working on regular bug fixing from now on - what is there not to like right now? Everybody has their own specific issues and the great news is it appears something is actually being done about it at last. What you have said is that you have seen no progress in the past... well fair enough.... I think now however you are seeing progress. Cakewalk has listened. Sorry but you can't rewind the clock... And yes it probably means you are going to have update to Platinum to get it... there you go...

Let's just for one day celebrate Cakewalks hard work eh? Do what I intend to do... keep watching the skies every month... Looks like Cakewalk has acknowledged your problem again so maybe you just need to just give a directional stare...

Thanks..

@Rick anyway, again as I had done previously, I strongly suggest you create a new thread in the problem reports forum about your specific issue where it can be tackled head on rather than your issue get buried in another discussion thread.

@CakeAlexS,

I appreciate your quick reply but How does one know if they are Really working on it? I think one of my points earlier was that there is No Way a Customer can find out if their issue can or will be fixed. The only way anyone can know that is to hear/read it from the people who are actually slaving away at these issues.

I sincerely respect the work Cakewalk has done but unfortunately my issue still remains and I get to live with the frustration of it almost every day I use Sonar. I'll be 60 this year, I don't have a lot of years left to wait...

For now I'd just create a new thread in problems report forums. I'd really like to see if you issue can at least be reproduced in Platinum. Forewarning.. I or other may ask for further info/more steps to reproduce in the new thread.  Maybe Cakewalk would like to comment in that thread as well if they have the time.

Then the discussion here can continue as it was whilst you have your topic addressed...

Considering the other thread was locked I tend to agree with you now. I still don't think a New thread is going to help anything get solved. This issue has been discussed in other threads but not addressed by a single Cakewalk rep that would be in the know.

I swear I never heard people complain so much as when they got crosstalk on their analog tape or the edge tracks were ONLY suitable for lower frequency instruments.  I mean, what a ripoff.  ALL tracks should be able to handle little splash cymbals.  The fact that you have to put time code on an edge track..  another ripoff.  Sounds like a Studer bug to me.  Machines certainly didn't come our of manufacture like that.  The fact that console emulation exists...  IS that a "bug"...or do we want variance purposely in our tracks?
