Yes. Precisely. So why did people spend the next several posts beating up on the guy (after the question was answered in post #29) because of his (in their eyes) "poor turn of a phrase"?
Double Sheesh!

The "guy" you say people are beating up in #29 is Guitarmech111 who was the OP who asked a question, who wasn't quoted once after #29. Rather people were responding and correcting each other (right or wrong).

I guess it's funny when you don't read the thread properly

Treble Sheesh!

Cheers...

Errr.... Well, no... Actually, the "guy" I was referring to was the guy I mentioned in my initial post, Paul P. Now, I know sometimes people get excited, and thus don't read everything correctly, but I'm a bit hard pressed to figure out how anyone could mistake "Paul P" for "Guitarmech111"! But hey, that's just me. You are right though. It is funny when people don't read a thread properly. It's even funnier when someone's response to a post doesn't accurately match the content of the post......

You're a good guy, though Alex. It's nice to have a Forum Host who can be kidded!
Ciao,

#29 the answered Q was nothing to do with Paul P but everything afterward was. I could probably split the thread after #29 into two separate topics. Oh well never mind!!! ;)

via email: Upgrade to SONAR Platinum - Intro offer ends February 28th!

So does one person getting an email constitute "ample notice" ?

I received yet another email two days ago, still no mention of an Intro offer or an end date.

I doubt the email was sent to 'one person'.

Sorry it might be hard to believe but I'm genuinely confused. Are you complaining about not knowing something you already happen to know? #29 #34.

I bought it today.
I was not going to take a chance on the Introduction price going up.

#29 the answered Q was nothing to do with Paul P …

Well, no, that’s not accurate either. Paul P was actually the second person to post in this thread. His comments were a direct response to Guitarmech111’s initial post. Subsequently, there were several posts directed to Paul P prior to post #29.

…but everything afterward was.

Well, not EVERYTHING, but most posts were.

Not really. The fundamental issue was always “When does the sale end?” Even when people were trying to convince Paul P to use the monthly payment option (efforts which, by the way, began before post #29), and responded to his reluctance to do so, fundamentally it all had to do with the sale price timeline.

Yeah, it was fun while it lasted,

Take care…

Something that struck me is that with the older versions of Sonar, the upgrade price was valid until the next release, sometimes even with a big discount towards the end of the lifecycle.

Now we have 2 months to upgrade or loose the $150-00 upgrade offer to Platinum. Why so hasty?
