I'm using Sonar X3 and have 14 MIDI tracks controlling a single Battery 4 instance.
For some reason, about midway through my song, some of the drums sounds
fail to trigger. It seems random which ones trigger and which ones don't. The first thing that pops to my mind is polyphony.
Is there a polyphony limit for Battery 4? If there
is a polyphony limit in Battery 4, then what is that limit? I'm guessing the workaround would be to clone that Battery 4 instance and direct some of the MIDI tracks to the clone? Is there an easy way to clone a Battery 4 instance, with all settings intact, using Sonar X3?
If there is
not a polyphony limit in Battery 4, then what else could be causing the missed notes? Could Sonar X3 have its own polyphony limits when sending MIDI data to a single instance of a soft synth?
This is the first time I have encountered any (apparent) polyphony limits with synths when using Sonar (except of course monophonic synths but that goes without saying).
Thanks!
