I bought the Softube Mix bundle years ago when it first came out for ProChannel and it's always shown the icons in the select menu in ProChannel.

Hmmm....I wonder what in the world is causing them not to show up for me and the others. This is the first time I've heard that there are actually supposed to be icons for the Softube stuff. Now it's gonna bug me...

Same here. Since they all never had it for me I just assumed it wasn't part of their design. Now I'm kind of curious. Not that curious, since it hasn't bothered me before. But if someone has a quick adjustment suggestion I'll certainly try that.

I am sure I have come across a similar issue before.  I can't find the thread at the moment, but I will keep looking.

Has anyone tried a Reset and Rescan?

Yep, I've tried that before. I've had it since it was first offered a few years ago and it never has worked for me, using Windows XP and now Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit).

Odd. Did you migrate when you installed Platinum?

Can you check in the registry whether the VST bitmap cache path is pointing to the right place for platinum?
(If you don't feel comfortable editing the registry dont do this)

To do that open the registry editor (start | regedit.exe)
If you are running X64 go to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\SONAR\Cakewalk VST X64
For 32 bit SONAR go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\SONAR\Cakewalk VST

Look at the string VSTBitmapCachePath
It should say %APPDATA%\Cakewalk\VSTBitmapCache\SONAR

If not change the value to that and then run SONAR again and rescan your plugins.
See if that fixes it.

Thanks for your response Noel. The registry is pointing to the correct place. I rescanned. I'm not sure what's up. It never worked with X3 Producer either.

I only have one icon showing in Platinum, I had them all in X3e. Its just annoying, doesn't affect things. However I have contacted Support and they say they are aware and will fix on next update. I have just tried Noels suggestion, but the string is correct.

Hi, Noel. My registry lists %APPDATA%\Cakewalk\VSTBitmapCache\SONAR Producer, but I assume that's because I upgraded to Platinum from X3. Having said that, I looked through all the folders in that directory and none of them contains an icon for TSAR-1R.

Noggin489, when you say you've contacted support, do you mean Cakewalk or Softube? I contacted Softube and the initial response I got was that they were unaware of there being icons for the Pro Channel.

Just reinstalled using Softube's new v2.1.68 installer and the icon now displays.
