Hi! Just have some problems with correct migration of X3 projects to Platinum. I ugraded my PC from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1. All plugins installed, all proper VST too, and problems came from unexpected side. Both version had CA-2A compressor, installed as ProChannel instances on several buses. I also installed CA-2A to Platinum, but every time i load older X3 project, Platinum shows CA-2A as missed plugin on all my buses. May be i need to do something different? I cheked CA-2A - it is available as ProChannel and VST in Platinum, so this is strange that Platinum unable to recognize it in X3 project. On Windows 7 everything worked fine. But with 8.1 something changed. Any ideas?

Did you try a vst rescan of both versions? Try scanning X3, when thats finished then rescan Platinum.

I tried, the problem is that both X3 and Platinum see CA-2A as ProChannel plugin and VST plugin, and it used in X3 projects only as ProChannel plugin. But when you load X3 project this insatnces marked as broken. This happend affter migration to Windows 8.1. Project from X3 and worked on Platinum + Win 7 combo smooth. Well, may be something changed in folders this time? Because i installed Windows 8.1 from scratch, as well as all plugins.

In Platinum do a reset and rescan.

Search and rescan did not help. CA-2A already installed, visible via ProChannel modules, or VST list. You can create new projects inside Platinum using it. All problem begin when you trying to open older X3 projects. In case of opening older projects, Platinum shows CA-2A as missed plugin.

Search? No. Reset and rescan, Yes. This should be within the Plugin Manager.

It seems that I have similar issues.  I have the Pro Channel PC2A and the CA2A.  Now, legacy projects are not finding the PC2A and suggesting an alternate...which is the PC2A, but with a UUID that is off by one.
