I'm still on X3e. I follow the forums in order to get a picture of how new Sonar works out.

I read about quite heavy issues like Sonar switching to demo mode within sessions, bugs an the like.

Has there already been an update rolled out? Where can I see reported bugs, rolled out updates, fixed issues and such?

Thank you

In the past, I've seen stickies at the top of the Sonar forum when there were any updates available, but I still chose at ask Bapu.

Not to hijack this thread but I upgraded & supposedly have a 1 year membership and I have no idea what that means.
I didn't get any membership # or any instructions about anything so for me the membership means absolutely zero. My year will be up before I ever figure out how to use it.

All the above are good options if you don't upgrade.  Just be aware that these forums, like any forum, get a lot of traffic from those ... less experienced.  If I have a problem w/ software etc. and they have a forum I'll go there and search, and then most likely make a post asking about the problem.  If it is a "stupid" problem, as I think (it is never me being stupid!) or I'm having a bad day I'm likely to phrase my question (or just a statement) in a non-diplomatic way, even tho I know it is easier to get answers by asking nicely.

So take "progress" in the forums in this light, that a lot more people w/ problems, either real or from inexperience, come here to kvetch than those for whom SONAR works fine and never brag about that fact in the forums.  It is the same for software as for cars or anything else. For every real issue there are 4-5 or more bogus, user errors.

AT, that is a brilliant post! There is so much good stuff in that. I would add that a good strategy would be to pick out a few people who seem to know what they are doing and keep an eye on what they have to say. Take the overly negative and overly positive with a grain of salt. Relax, you made a good purchase. None of us know what "membership" really means but have decided it's not some incredibly bold scam so let's see how this goes. We got a very good product with some top notch 3rd party add ons so membership is gravy. This post gets bonus points for having "kvetch" in it. Great insights, kudos.

Membership=updates, fixes and new features on a more timely basis than before.

It means that for the next 12 months you get every upgrade to Sonar that is released, you get every piece of additional content that is added to the membership program during that time and you get unlimited premium support direct from Cakewalk (other suppliers will make you pay on a per incident basis).
