Not to hijack this thread but I upgraded & supposedly have a 1 year membership and I have no idea what that means.
I didn't get any membership # or any instructions about anything so for me the membership means absolutely zero. My year will be up before I ever figure out how to use it.

When you appreciate what you have,
you have a lot more
(sorry, I just couldn't help in quoting your own sig. ).

There are plenty of threads in here as well as the Sonar FAQ's to give you info on the membership details. It usually works out for the better when the reading on the finer details of upgrading/membership are done before pushing the pay button........YMMV.

Touche!
You got me on that one. I probably gave the impression I was not happy about my UG but that is not the case. I've been using CW software for 25 years & have never been unhappy with any of my purchases. I was kind of hoping someone would chime in with some specifics about how we get those updates & fixes or how I even know I'm a member. It just said the UG included 1 year membership. Is there some place that shows you your membership & when it expires? Do you have to activate something besides the software?  Do I get an email or something?  I didn't see any of that in the FAQ's but I still appreciate what I've got.<g>

If any of the baker's happen to know the solution, PLEASE get me added to these stupid e-mail lists and take my money.

Have you tried contacting support ?  I never received anything and after complaining for a while I broke down and contacted them (they're really very helpful).  I now get several newsletters a week .

Just don't unsubscribe from anything audio-related after you do start receiving stuff.

All joking aside,
How do you know if you have a membership & when it expires?

Assuming you pay in full up front your "membership" starts when you buy the upgrade from CW or redeem your code from a retailer. It expires 12 months after that. At that time you own the "build" that was delivered through the 12th month.

If you pay monthly you are a "member", and it expires after 12 months (i.e. day one of the 13th month assuming you paid all 12 months on time). At that time you own the "build" that was delivered through the 12th month.

Can' t be stated simpler than that.

Addendum: As I've learned, if you pay monthly and you pay for 13 or more months, at that time you own the "build" that was delivered through the last paid month.

You guys mean to tell me that there is no way to check on your membership except to know when you paid for it. That doesn't make sense. There's got to be some way to check on your membership status. I've got to be missing something.

I am expecting an email near the renewal date, otherwise I would contact customer support or refer to the purchase dates in the product list in my account.

The CCC should have something like that really. If it doesn't here is the perfect opportunity to put in a feature request in the feature and ideas forums.
