Actually Amazon has started a program where if you buy the hardcopy you get a kindle version for free.. it does not apply to all books, but for a reference like this it would be highly useful

That's good news.  I was just about to ask.  However, I was wondering if you're in a position to raise the sale price by about 66 cents so it would qualify for free shipping.

Hey Tim... I wish I could... I would. But I have no control on how the book is sold. I'm just the author. The publisher and individual retailers are the ones that control the prices. The publisher sets the list price and then each retailer is able to set their own sale prices. So in this case, it would be up to Amazon to change the price.

Amazon Prime is a great way to go.  I think it is still around $80 per year.  You get free 2nd day shipping on all purchases with no price minimum.  Also the instant videos and shows available for streaming compete with Netflix.  There is some overlap, but Prime has shows and movies not available on Netflix.

Yeah, Prime is a good deal if you order a lot of stuff from Amazon... and I'm sure many people do that.
