Could be pilot error so go easy LOL. I set Snap To Grid at

During a session it reverts back to

Set it back again to 1/64 and save project. Next time that I open project it is back to 1/4 why is that?

Perhaps smartgird is enabled where the grid resolution changes depending on the zoom level?

Yes, the circle containing a small grid inside the larger grid in the snap status indicator is showing that Smart Grid is enabled. Right-click the resolution setting, and click Smart Grid at the top of the list to disable it.

Thanks Steve can you point me to where smartgrid is please. Haven't been zooming at all just recording some guitar and it is still popping back to 1/4. Here is what my preferences say although I am not sure this has anything to do with it oh and these are the settings it came with I have not tweaked anything yet LOL.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction and now disabled. I would not have found that in a hundred years so thanks again. Onwards and upwards.

Yes, I have to rack my brain as to where smart grid is every time I want it off. I keep expecting it in a right-click menu.

The Help isn't much help:
Note 1: To exit Smart Grid mode, clear the Smart Grid check mark. (where is it?)
If you manually select a new resolution while Smart Grid is enabled, the new settings only apply until the focused view's zoom level changes. (Then why does it change when the zoom level remains the same?)

Some clarification could be administered here.

To make matters worse, PRV has it's own grid snap on the right top corner which also affects things.

I fully agree and does underline why this Forum is a must and not an option as without the help on here I would never have found it.
