Hi
I have Professional and things are slightly different now.

Has sonar now taken over the Scarlett asio panel???
I have everything working with soft synths with just only
Scarlett mentioned and master in the track column.
It seems you do not have to configure the scarlett asio screen anymore

Is that right !!

All the best

SONAR has not replaced client software for ASIO mode. Make sure SONAR has driver mode set to ASIO in Preferences > Audio > Playback and Recording.

Hi
I have asio mode .
The sound works In Sonar ,but when I go to the Asio panel I do not get any green lights In channel movement
In drop down of Sonar Prof, It Is Scarlett at top and master underneath and thats It.
I am just a little puzzled with the way Professional has changed the sequence of things

I'm not really understanding what you are saying
"but when I go to the Asio panel I do not get any green lights In channel movement In drop down of Sonar Prof, It Is Scarlett at top and master underneath and thats It."

Could you be a lot more specific?

If the correct driver is selected in Preferences -> driver settings, everything under Mixing latency section will be greyed out except  ASIO Panel button (by design).

Perhaps a screenshot may help...

Hi

I try to explain more clearly
The driver timing master and record timing master are focusrite all ok there.

In the sonar prof on my track       I   Omni
                                                  O  Master

The scarlett plays ok ,but when I go to the Scarlett mix control nothing whatsoever happens now.

On X3 I configured the mix control and all ok,but now things seem a lot different.
I am just hoping I have got It right ,but not sure

I am not sure how to configure the routing preset and the mix channels
I wrote It all down when I got It right on x3 ,but things have slighty changed or someone has moved the goalpost.

All the best
John

Sir Les
Allow other apps to share asio?...sonar preference?...not sure if that helps?

I think this OP, is wanting to use his audio cards mixer app...but it is not working or showing vu meteriing...

Right?

I am not sure what sir les Is saying.  Op probably means old pensioner!!!!
Things sound ok and also headphones sound ok
The  scarlett mix control does not have any action going on  with the green levels and I configured It like sonar x3.
I think things have changed here and I would like to know what other Scarlett 6i6 people are configuring the mix control
I have everything scarlett  drivers asio etc .
All the best

Make sure you have the master track routed to mon1 and 2 ( if that is where your speakers are connected). In your Mix Control make sure daw1 and daw2 are routed to mon1 and 2 and also to your headphone outs. You also need the Mix fader routed to outs 1 and 2 and wherever else you need it to go.

Nevermind I see you figured it out.

I have the  6i6. And I also just upgraded from X3 Studio to Professional so you and me are rowing the same boat
When you installed the new version did Sonar ask to import your settings from your old x3 version?  For me nothing at all changed, I'm still working on projects from X3 and all looks and works the same.  As a matter of fact, I have accidentally opened x3 about  a dozen times now and started working and to tell the truth I don't even notice!

I think I read another thread by you where you have re done your computer so possibly your starting from scratch?

I have the Mix control shortcut in my lower task bar so it's always easy to open.
It should open from the Sonar Audio preference button too. That button turns into the Wave Profiler if your not in ASIO mode so if the button is there then all should work.

Make sure you install the latest Mix Control Firmware. It is now on Version 1.8.

It sound like what your saying is you have sound, but the mix control is not showing any action on the far right output mon 1/2 meters??

If all else does not work I would un install and re install the Mix Control 1.8 driver.

Hey cool, I see they released a Windows Xp driver now. Not that I need it but at least it shows they even care about the die hards of computing. I can use it with my 2004 Laptop for live recordings instead of the Tascam.
