Looks like you posted at the same time as me., glad you got it going.

Hey Alex. You need a degree in Engineering to understand Mix Control. I remember watching those videos.. He makes it look easy. It's not. I'm scared to go passed Mix 1 tab still...
One thing I did discover, is the mix control has nothing to do with your recording levels, it's only for setting playback and Cue mixes which is very cool. At first all the red clipping lights were bothering me. You don't even need mix control to use the Scarlett. I only open it if I'm changing buffers. I adjust headphone balance with a little Mackie Mix 8 now. I hate software controls,,, gotta have a real knob.. oh oh,  that's sounds wrong?

Hey Johnny, Mix Control is not the most intuitive product.  To add more complexity to it, try stacking 2-18i20's using ADAT and working in MixControl.  Mine works great and I'm not about to touch it.  Their support is really good and has been really helpful.

I'm a big fan of mix control, it is intuitive once you understand it, you can't take to it like a duck to water, but the functionality is great...

Hi Alex

I 've woken up!!!!!!

I had to drive to London  and get stuck in Bishopsgate traffic jams
I hate London.Carbon monoxide everywhere.

Thanks for the links and now I understand.
I only run my keyboard using midi and audio and not a singer.(FOGHORN)!!!. I could try vocoding sometime.
So the learn curve is not that big for me.
Just got Dimension Pro to sort out and I will be flying.
I may have to run the update again for Dim Pro to recognize taking the packs from X86 to  C main.

All The Best
John

Ps Being a teenager In the 60s and 70s I liked your song Driving.
Has a modern vocal but the backing style reminds me of 70s American rock band Head East.
Luv that style!!
That would go well on Top Gear!!!!

I am not sure what sir les Is saying.  Op probably means old pensioner!!!!
Things sound ok and also headphones sound ok
The  scarlett mix control does not have any action going on  with the green levels and I configured It like sonar x3.
I think things have changed here and I would like to know what other Scarlett 6i6 people are configuring the mix control
I have everything scarlett  drivers asio etc .
All the best
John

OP = original poster or post...or posting...

If the driver has a app (control mix ) perhaps Sonar is set to not allow other apps to use the asio driver....? = ( I now not your settings in Sonar preference selected)...so sonar preference has or used to have a setting in there to allow other apps to use asio or driver in shared states, or not use / or not share asio with other apps...if mix control is another app...?( if it is seen or written as so?)...then=....young fart/old pensioner should or might want to try fiddling with that?

glad you solved the issue...what is RTFM?...returning from mars?

Just so the learning continues both ways...

Sir Les
