Deon_C, or Paul.P, or Karyn, or anyone:  Have you upgraded from X3e AD2 with 3 adpaks and you actually got 3 more?  Or are you moving up from X1 or something?  Thanks for any clarity.
 
My experience with things too good to be true is like the thick-accented phone call you get from "Microsoft" telling you they're calling to help you fix something broken on your computer ... only to install ransom-ware in their wake.

Thanks for all the helpful comments.  Music production is just a hobby for me, so I don't usually have a great deal of time to spend in forums.  I'm using it now as I'm off work with a fever that I mentioned before!  So, how do I close this subject off?  By the way, I'll be buying the upgrade soon.

If you want  to mark it as "Solved" go back to your original post, and click on the "Edit" label in the bottom right hand corner. Once open for editing you can change the title, just above the edit box.
 
Alternatively I or one of the other hosts can do it for you if you prefer. I usually leave it to the OP as you are the only one who truly knows if it is "Solved" to your satisfaction or not. I prefer not to assume I know what you think, I have enough trouble thinking I know what I think.....

It is true,  it is all part of the Platinum package.
 
"Worth" and "Cost", however, are two different words with different meanings.
For example, probably 80% or more of what I do is recording bands live.  AD2 (or AD1) is of no use to me and thus it has no worth at all for me.  The cost of buying 3 AD2 packs played no part in my decision to upgrade to Platinum from X3e Producer.  I didn't download the AD stuff I got with X3 and I don't see myself downloading it now either.
 
If I need ITB drums I have BFD3, which is way more powerful than AD.
 
Of course, if you want AD2, and were looking for an excuse to shell out $250 for 3 ADpacks, then the Platinum upgrade suddenly becomes a "no brainer" deal...

I honestly can't work out what the guy has to apologise for. His opening post is polite and reasonable.

It had the "look and feel" of previous posts that ended up being malicious in nature. The difference here is that the OP returned and engaged in a conversation, which the other ones didn't do.
 
It's sort of like if the police are looking for a criminal whose getaway car was a white Chevrolet Impala, and you just happened to be driving a white Chevrolet Impala. They're going to stop you, but eventually find out you weren't the guy who robbed the bank.

I retract the need for an apology. Maybe I should have said a "oh now I get it" like comment in the OP. Or maybe I should have just left it at solved.
