I know my small number of posts on this forum make me look like a noob, but I've been on the CW bandwagon since the single floppy disk days (and owned each and every version since).  I was a forum member back on the good old Usenet forum days. And also had an account on this one since about 2004, but somehow broke it and could never log back into it.

In all that time, I've seen people come and go at CW, but one thing has stayed consistent - That is their attitude towards us their customers.  They never treat us like idiots.  They never try to bury a bug, but will discuss it, even when they don't have a fix yet.  They will also, on occasion, change something that we complain about.

I have been an IT professional for more than 20 years and I can tell you, this is a very rare thing in this industry.  I was afraid this openness would cease after Mr Hendershott left the company, but it is pleasing to see it continue under Gibson.  Anyway, just a shout out to say, I am happy to still be a valued customer and look forward to many more years being a part of the Sonar family.

It's kind of unusual to have a company populated by a huge number of musicians, that's bought by a company where the CEO is a musician who's used Cakewalk since the DOS days, with said purchase helped along by a musician who has been a hardcore SONAR fan since it was introduced (that would be me). That set of circumstances just doesn't happen very often.

Cakewalk was not purchased to fire half the people, make the bottom line look artificially good, then flip it to another company. It's considered an important part of Gibson's future.
