I just updated from Sonar Pro. I'm wondering if I can save edits from an existing Sonar Pro project and have it compatible with my existing Sonar Pro install? Other than any new cake plugs / instruments that might not be recognized by the old version. I currently have paths to the same audio drive but thought I would create a " Bandlab " audio folder and perform a save as to the project to create a copy for the short term.

I seemed to have an issue with I lock plugs while scanning. I believe is was a license not available ( re-install to bla bla bla ). Any work around to have these recognized? Should I open the Ilock liscensing

There is zero difference. It's more or less the same software.

There are many threads about the VST scan issue. You will need to do a few things, read the other threads for tips.

CbB should be able to read the projects. The only feature that will prevent older versions of SONAR from loading a CbB project are patch points and aux tracks. If a project has patch points or aux tracks, the project may only be loaded with a version of SONAR that supports the feature or CbB. Other than that older version just issue a warning.

I do not have a physical iLok but have successfully scanned all of my iLok plug-ins (Eventide, Softube, SoundToys and Zynaptiq). I have not had time to test them all but the ones I have loaded up OK.

Thanks for the answers guys..... CbC is loading and playing very nicely pretty much all the way around. Excellent migration for me so far !. Sorry if I didn't word my question correctly. I'm looking to re-load saved CcB projects from Sonar Pro.

I've been searching for threads specific to Lexicon plug I-lok licensing questions. I ran the Mananger and it's looking for another update - hopefully that will solve it.
