Does anyone know if Sonar automatically includes the very latest version of all it's third-party plugins like the Nomad factory Blue Tubes and Melodyne and REmatrix Verb etc?
I notice there are sometimes updates to these plugins at the manufacturer's website, so i want to know if Cakewalk automatically integrate these latest versions without us having to do it ourselves and keep track of them all.

Melodyne is a separate install and it handles its updates separately. You'll get a notice when you open it if there's an update. For the BlueTubes I don't know, it honestly never occurred to me, they all work fine.

They may work fine, but I still like to know if there's any updates available. Updates are usually released for important reasons. Is it basically our responsibility to keep tabs on this, or does Cakewalk take care of it? For instance, the Nomad Factory Blue Tubes Bundle was released with Sonar more than one year ago, so has Cakewalk automatically obtained the latest versions for inclusion in this latest release of Sonar? Even if Cakewalk only took care of this annually, that would put me at ease.

@Drone7, I believe the answer is no, Sonar doesn't attempt to push updates for products they bundle with Sonar like Nomad plugs, Blue Cat, Melodyne etc.

For most, there is a way to check for updates, but Nomad doesn't make it too obvious as to whether you need to update. They just give the date of the most recent installer.

BlueTubes=Nomad and you can download the installer from here...

I have a license for their integral plugin pack and I just downloaded the latest installer for Windows and re-installed. Then Rescanned VSTs in Sonar. I did not have to re-authorize the plugins after doing this (by that I mean drag the license file to the plugin). You may find you have to go through the installer and tick each plugin you want to update, which looks to be a pain.

This was the link I used for the 64 bit install for Nomad listed under 'Other Nomad Factory Software'...

Several of the BT suite plugins are now discontinued.

It would be a very strange software company that updated discontinued products

I looked here...
https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account/Products
And there is no Serial Number info for the Nomad plugins unless you bought the enlarged list of plugins.

Do you know which ones are discontinued and why? Does this mean the BT plugins are garbage? Seems strange that they are discontinued.

Drone7, I get the feeling that you're out here trying to spin every little bit of info about Sonar in the most negative way possible. Is there a reason for that?
