Drone7, I get the feeling that you're out here trying to spin every little bit of info about Sonar in the most negative way possible. Is there a reason for that?

What you're feeling (as you put it) is not consistent with the facts, so why are you saying it?? If you would take the time to quote in here my last 50 posts, I think people will see you seem to be getting a false impression. The legs on your horse seem a little long, try cutting them off at the knee so you can see more clearly. I don't appreciate you making something out of nothing. I give fair praise and criticisms on both sides of the fence, so what is there to explain? I suggest you get your facts straight before acting like the Gestapo.

Whoa, what a classy reply :)
Guess that says enough.

When I saw this thread and read it I was thinking that is a good question. I don't know the answer but I'm glad Wookiee is looking into it. The other answers are great as far as I am concerned.

I can understand the point Sanderxpander was making but I don't think there is any agenda by the OP in asking.

Its a good question and should be seen in that light.

I think it was a good question too, see my first reply in this very thread.

And for the record, IMO Sonar is the best DAW currently available, and the best value for money too.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. I'll clarify too; I don't mind if you don't like Sonar. There have just been a few threads that made it seem as if you were eager to jump to a negative conclusion, which ultimately prompted my question.

I'll put my Gestapo boots back on now (great reference by the way!) and climb up on my kneecapped too high horse and stumble off into the sunset. Have a good day.

Lol. No need to stumble off, I was merely stating my case. Your humility is duely noted.

It seems to me that people here in the forum ( including Hosts) are getting very long toes and somehow get the feeling that they are getting stept on with every post on the forum.
I see that we now have platinum and not a lot of problems after the launch which makes me HAPPY. Not one crash yet.
Don't look for the negatives in the posts, but try to understand what the poster is trying to say. You only need one word to mess up the whole meaning of the OP.
All this commotion is not worth the $149.00 we paid for.
Don't worry, Be HAPPY !!

The bottom-line is that Sonar as a DAW competitor is a pure street brawler. Cakewalk has every right to stand proud. The other companies like Apple, Steinberg and Avid and Presonus have extremely big wallets to rely on, and yet in ten years Cakewalk has stood down to none of them, very impressive!

On your other point, maybe Cakewalk should designate one forum host to be the negativity police, that way we would accept admonitions more readily without undue commotion because we would know it's their specific job/function, and that would allow the other forum hosts to engage more easily without the need to focus on warnings.

When I see that we are not readily excepting what the forum hosts are doing now , I would think that the one forum host for negativity wouldn't have a life anymore.
I think that we should except the forum hosts and all that they are trying to do so that we have a decent forum to come to and not have to fight our way through all the garbage.
We all have to learn how to confront the misunderstandings with a little more understanding.
Anyway, thats what I think.
