Ok please pardon me but I recently upgraded my pc and now it has 64bit as to my old 32bit. I reinstalled my sonar 7 producers edition under the 64bit version all is well. Now it seems my plugins are loading in my sonar. I go into program files and see there is another program files x86. What are the differences in those folders? What folder should I direct my plug ins to go in so sonar can find them? When I was using my 32 bit version they loaded up fine and did not have to change anything. I did upgrade to 64bit plugin versions too. Can some please give me the process to make my plugins a default location for sonar to see them use them?

Thank you!

Program Files x86 is only for your 32bit stuff.
All the 64bit stuff will be in the regular Program Files (without the x86).
So, you'll have to direct the install path whenever you're adding new plugins and make sure Sonar sees the actual folder locations (when scanning).

Thank you! will 32bit plugins still work on my 64bit version?

Some will. 32bit VST plug-ins mostly work in 64bit SONAR. 32bit DirectX plug-ins only run in 32bit SONAR unless wrapped in a DX-to-VST wrapper like http://xlutop.com/buzz/zip/dxshell_v1.0.4b.zip even then some DirectX plug-ins won't run in 64bit SONAR. The best solution when running 32bit plug-ins is use 32bit SONAR. Both 32 and 64bit versions can be installed on the same machine.

You're welcome Richie.
Yes, the 32 bit plugins should work via bit-bridge in Sonar (you don't have to do anything to activate it......). Sometimes, it can be a little flaky and not work properly or not work at all, but I personally haven't had any issues when running 32 bit apps.

There's also another application (jBridge) which is supposed to work very well (I don't have it) and many Sonar users have recommended it. So, if you do run into issues with getting 32 bit apps to work in 64 bit land, jBridge might resolve this.
