So I take back what I said

To me, this means that NOW is the time for us to reproduce those long-standing PRV display bugs and submit them to the Problem Reporter tool, because there is actually a chance they will be addressed. (not meaning to sound snarky here)

No snark taken. Yes, if you're experiencing issues with the PRV, please do provide us with reproducible steps via the Problem Reporter. Our new model is very much about BUG ERADICATION!!! Thanks.

Those are really nice, incredibly useful features in the video. Would be smart to highlight those on Cake TV, I reckon.

Agreed. Maybe I should just throw this piece of crap up there and call it done? :)

I used the Ctrl-Stretch feature on selected MIDI notes in the PRV in SONAR Platinum today. IT IS REALLY USEFUL.

Also, I agree that for single track MIDI editing, the PRV does seem a lot more solid in Platinum than X3E. I like using it a lot.

Unfortunately, for multi-track drum MIDI editing with Drum Maps, I drop back to Sonar X3 Producer. I find the PRV almost unusable in that scenario.

Interesting. I was editing drums yesterday in Platinum using an old drum map and i didn't notice any changes between Plat & X3e.

Can I ask why you find it unusable?

>> PRV is great in Sonar Platinum

I can't agree, John. Pattern Brush and minor cosmetics aside, I haven't noticed anything new here that I couldn't do in X3, and that includes "enjoying" all the preference recall bugs that have plagued this since the X series began.
Oh, except there are a few more bugs.

In the past I had a real problem with the PRV for me because it wouldn't zoom enough for my needs. Plus I like the new control lanes much better. Its like a whole new PRV to me with everything I could want. I do a lot of drum editing with it and in combination with BFD 3 I couldn't be happier. I find even working with no drum map for AD2 drums a breeze.
With the new size and the smart tool it couldn't be easier.

CW had to have looked at it for some time to get it this good. In other words all the negatives that plagued the PRV for years have been dealt with in a very nice way.

I love it!
