Hi there,
I think I ran into a
'possible' lost bit of functionality but wanted to check with you guys and gals, because I might just be missing an option to turn off to fix the problem.
In PRV is Sonar 4, working on more than one instrument in the same PRV window, using the "draw" tool,
I used to be able to select the track I want to edit or add to, grab a note from a track that is NOT selected,
CTRL+Drag (up a bit or to the right a bit so it's visible after the CTRL+Drag) and essentially
copy 1 note from the non-active track to the active track. My selection for active track doesn't change unless
I choose the track in the track list at the right.
I've used this thousands of time in Sonar 4 and it's a great perk.
BUT, in X3 as soon as I touch a note from a non active track, that track becomes active and the track I wanted to be active becomes non-active.
Now, I'm hoping that I'm just missing an option somewhere that says something like:
"Don't change active track based on note selection in the PRV" ... or something like that.
Maybe I'm using the wrong tool. I was using the "smart" tool. Ummm ... is that it?
Anyway, I'd love to hear from you. Probably someone knows what I'm talking about here
and I hope you can help me find a way back to that fast and easy method I'm used to.
Thank you!
