Melodyne is a 3rd party plugin that was taken off along with other 3rd party plugins. A free Daw ant then the company paying for 3rd party plugins won't work.
If you have Sonar Platinum or X2, X3 on your computer, then Melodyne is still there but will not be updated.

Melodyne was bundled with SONAR X3 Studio/Producer and Professional/Platinum. Cakewalk like all DAW manufacturers bundling Melodyne, provided the initial version. It was the regular retail version and once installed, Celemony handled delivery of all installers and updates.

If is not clear from the OP if they are looking for the Region FX, Rewire, VST3 or VST2 plug-in. Most work with Region FX which uses the VST3 plug-in.

I own ess 4, and see the rewire and after uninstalling and reinstalling Melodyne it now shows in the vst list, however i do not see it in the region fx and there was no option for vst 3 during install only vst2 .

For melodyne to show up as a region effect you must install the 64 bit VST3 version of Melodyne.
Make sure when you reinstall melodyne make sure that you pick this option. Also check if "Program Files\Common Files\VST3" is in your VST scan path and that there is indeed a Melodyne VST3 there.
