I'm using X3e.  I had a project that I used to create a project template.  I then created a new project from this template.  After a while I realized that the original project had some volume automation envelopes that I didn't need or want, so I deleted them.  They disappeared in the track view, but when I hit play on the transport, the faders starting moving as if the automation was still there.
 
I saved the project, closed SONAR, reopened the project and the envelopes were back!.  I deleted again, saved, closed, re-opened, and half came back.  Repeated and all were finally gone.
 
Has anyone else encountered this before?  Maybe this is a known issue or is it operator error of some sort?  And if it is a known bug, does anyone know if it has been fixed in Platinum?

How are you deleting the envelopes? Are you right clicking on them and selecting "delete envelopes"? Because if you're just clicking on the cross then the envelope is not deleted, it's just hidden.

I'm right clicking on them and selecting "Delete Envelope" from the pop-up menu.

Do a select all then a delete special and make sure envelopes is included, resave the template and try it out again.

Offset mode?

I don't think offset mode is on.  But I'll check and try swamptooth's suggestion and report back.  Thanks.

I deleted the envelopes in the template and saved the changes to the template.  New projects created from that template do not have the envelop problem.
