I think I understand how to install Sonar Platinum on an offline PC. However, how can I identify and install future updates on the offline PC without Command Center?

thanks

Actually, so would I as I'm considering taking mine permanently off line.

This is ONLY a guess, but I'd say it will be the same way you did the off-line installation in the first place.  Download the updates, transfer to DAW, run the installer.

There are two ways to run offline.
1. Have the machine periodically connect to the internet when you want to check for updates. In this case you can simply launch command center to check. This is the preferred and simplest approach.
2. On a different (online) machine log in to your cakewalk.com account and check for updates manually. Presumably we will also send out email notifications when updates are available. If you find an update you can download it manually and then take it to the offline machine and install it.

Thanks Noel,

So for a permanently off-line machine, it's option 2.

So are they gonna be listed as updates in our account page, or do we have to highlight Sonar Platinum and look at the build number?

Possible option 3?
Install the Command center on the on line machine and it should keep you up to date?
I have done this right now, I haven't managed the download yet, it keeps timing out, but I was told you don't have to proceed with the install to that machine.
The red light should come on I would guess when an update happen.?

I'm glad for this answer as the CCC is useless for me.

The file has the build number in it so you can always see which file is the newest.

If the online machine has SONAR installed you can use C3 to manage the downloads and then copy the installers from the C3 downloads folder at C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center\Downloads
Command center not just a downloader so it will download and install...
