1. If I pay the monthly fee for a full year I get to keep everything I received during the period, that much is clear. But lets say I keep paying for another six months, will I keep everything I downloaded during this period too or do I have to pay another full year to keep it?

No, you're current version reverts to demo mode, but you can roll back to the full version you owned at 12 months. You only get to keep what you buy during a 12 month period by paying up front, or paying 12 monthly payments.

2. Will this monthly payment system apply to other products too such as pro channel effects, softsynths etc?

This I don't know...

Pan65The biggest benefit is of course that you don't have to dig a deep hole in your wallet at once, and you get to keep the software after one year of payment any way.

This point is the EXACT reason I'm doing the monthly payment. I wonder, though, if after a few monthly payments we can choose the pay rest of the 12 months at once?

Yeah an early 'settlement' option would be cool

Hi-

I wondered about that, too.

Honestly, that's not a path we want to manage. There is no way to make that really automated. We'd be managing a lot of SKUs and scenarios. I understand why you might want to do that and then hope you can go back to paying upfront. I think that's why we want to offer a demo on day 1 so people can have 30 days to try out some of the new features.

Yeah, that was my understanding, but some people apparently took it as more.

Personally I'm happy if they take a little extra time if it helps them get it right, but it'd be nice to know the rough time frame.

As impatient as I am, I'm with you here. Saying that, it seems a few stores are quoting the 21st so maybe it will be today. Given that the forum has gone 21st crazy, noone from cake has stepped in to say otherwise.

As I've never purchased software 'Pre-Release' before, this is a new experience.

They're probably too busy baking.  Or ironing...
