Given that the forum has gone 21st crazy, noone from cake has stepped in to say otherwise.

Maybe their preparing it for release?

My understanding is the lottery winners used the same mechanism we all will use , so in a sense, UNLESS there were some beta bugs revealed the release is in the chute already.

I know Craig said they put out the wrong versions of his amp sims in the pre-release.

Many probably saw this, but Andrew said this in another thread:

It's almost certainly coming today. There will also be an update to it to fix a couple of issues. Customers who already purchased will also have an update available in Command Center. Stay tuned. It won't be much longer.

1. If I pay the monthly fee for a full year I get to keep everything I received during the period, that much is clear. But lets say I keep paying for another six months, will I keep everything I downloaded during this period too or do I have to pay another full year to keep it?

No, you're current version reverts to demo mode, but you can roll back to the full version you owned at 12 months. You only get to keep what you buy during a 12 month period by paying up front, or paying 12 monthly payments.

Can you point on some reply from CW about that? Because that is not logical. If you continuously pay 18 months, that imply you have payed last 12 month before the day you stop the membership. So, according to the defined rules, you can keep everything you have. Why someone who will start to pay in June this year should be able to keep more then someone who started to pay this January, in case they both stop next June?

If I get it right, either in case you have paid up front or 12 month continuously, you get "not expiring" version with whatever updates you download till the end of your membership.

I'm pretty sure the monthly option works in 12 month intervals and not at any random month in between that a person decides to leave the program.

As far as I can see, that doesn't say anything about the "discontinue membership after 18 consecutive months" scenario.

Not that it matters until next year sometime...

The simple answer has always been. Pay for 12 months (monthly or up front) and you have an unlocked working version. Pay monthly < 12 and you revert to demo mode.

In an 18 month pay plan you already have paid for 12 months. You have that unlocked working version (as of the 12th month). You are effectively now (month 13) on a new payment plan and stop at 6 months. Implied in the only pay 6 moths scenario is you revert to demo mode.

BUT, since you have an unlocked workable version (albeit 6 months old) you should and would revert to that.

Simples.

What Bapu said. It's also explained (over and over again) in various posts throughout this 44 page (and counting) thread.

Dan
