I cannot see the advantage of upgrading whilst on win 7.   Win7 makes no difference at all.
 
I think this new sonar thing is a disgrace to loyal customers
I already own all soft synths  whereas sonar platinum and professional only have le versions.  This is completely wrong.
Also on some of the effects I already have
Paying money upfront and then after is no better than renting with no end in sight.  No-one said anything about paying upfront AND after.
Sonar X3 is really what anybody needs at this point  Wrong,  X3 does not have VocalSync which I've used already.
What are we getting?? le synths not so many effects  and higher prices forever!!!!!!!!!!!  Wrong  Wrong.
I think people will leave sonar cakewalk and move to FL STUDIO or the other big ones if they do not follow  this type of money making

"Paying after" is called a "paid upgrade" in the software industry. Even FL Studio's free updates for life don't give you everything. At least that's what their web site says.

"This type of money making" is how SONAR has been sold for years. There are only two differences:

• You now have an additional way to pay (monthly) as well as the standard option
• Instead of waiting a year and doing a paid upgrade with a collection of features, you have the OPTION to pay upfront and have the features appear as soon as they're ready over the course of a year. Or you can wait and upgrade sometime in the future. Like you can do now.

It's really not that complicated. Read the FAQ.
