I think this is a great idea and probably ground breaking to the industry....basically a subscribe to own, payment program.

Maybe it will influence Adobe to do the same.  It's the main reason that I have not jumped on the Photoshop/ Lightroom subscription, bandwagon.

Is there a list of the bug fixes for this new release? If not, more importantly, will the bug list be available before
the intro price is up? The new features are not a selling point for me. Bug fixes would be however.

I'd be paying $20 a month/$199 total for the latest version and a year's updates either way.

That's not quite right,  this first year we're paying $149 for a new version right now plus 12 months of future updates.

This time next year, and each year forward, we already have the latest version. We're paying $199 in advance for a years updates, which may or may not be worth while depending on what is in the updates.

REmatrix looks nice, but it looks to be mono. Will true stereo IRs work with it?

I like the naming scheme to so Ill be a platinum user, Things I like dynamic fx's bin and insert bin, and mix recall( Im always saving different versions on song when I make changes but usually never go back or I get lost cause they are different sessions, but being able to do it in same session means I will probably get good use out of it.

Mix recall for me would certainly be useful, but far more useful if I could port those saved mixes to other songs (or sync them). For example, if I could sync a drum mix from one song to ten others, and then, if later I needed to tweak the Kick on one song, I could simply click a single button to sync that change to ten other songs. Now THAT would be quite useful to me. Noel should have a screencast I sent to him for this feature request. I can't express enough how much time that (PSG's) would save me!

For the time-being, however, If I could just export/import those Mix Recalls to other Projects, that would be handy enough. Would save me a few hours each time I start a new mix session with a whole new band/artist. I could mix down one song to taste, and then, rather than use that as a post-taste template (a sweaty process for me), I could simply grab all the Mix-Recall mixes from that session and choose which one to start with in the next song/Project.

Oops, I started with Sonar last year and it looks like I chose the wrong DAW. Because for me, any kind of subscription based model is 100% No No.

I don't know if it's been answered yet, and I can't find any answer in this topic (trying my best to go through 10 pages):

If I were to decide to pay the $14.99 per month to go from Producer to Platinum, can I later decide within the 12 months to just pay the rest up front?

Also, will PayPal be an accepted form of payment?

To me, the subscription model works, but only if it's a no-brainer. I'm not keen on the 1-yr pricing. I would have gone $9.99, $19.99, $24.99 with a 2-yr payoff vs. 1-yr. If you've been paying for it more than 8-12 months, you're more likely to pay it off or perhaps make a discounted final payment of $200 (for Platinum) to avert the 2nd year, but the idea is appealing. I can pay a little bit and try out the new one for 3-6 months, but as a newcomer, the rates are a bit pricey. I think the increased sticker price isn't as appealing, either, but users may enjoy having the ProChannel on the mid-tier version.

If you started at the bottom, but decided Platinum would better suit you, then upgrade on the fly at a discount, depending on how invested you are. In other words, CW could calculate a deal for you in you upgraded, downgraded, etc. and you could see a "generated" calculated payoff in payments or outright cost.

But the idea is not only to invoke existing users to upgrade, but to woo others over from Studio One, DP, PT, etc. I just think the current subscription offerings need adjustment.
