• SONAR
  • Command Centre, you don't have to put on the red light (or walk the streets for money)...

This may have been covered before sorry if I've missed.

So Platinum is installed - hooray! Everything worked great, installation was seamless` - hurrah!!! All I needed to do was make sure everything was set correctly afterwards in Sonar preferences.

However I haven't installed AD2, Melodyne (Editor), Rapture or Dimension Pro yet in Command Center. Unsurprisingly though, as this is an upgrade from X3E, Rapture, Dimension Pro, and Melodyne are working and installed within the platinum Application. However these products show as red lights under Command Center (not connected), and I have no need to install/reinstall them. But I want my credentials in CC to be green however.... and make sure I am connected (make sure the writing is on the wall)...

(Before anybody mentions this, please note the Melodyne Editor package is exactly the same as essential, just the serial number is different).

Suggestions?

Thanks

It's a mystery.

I wish CCC would scan (it should be able to do that, roight) and see that I/you/we already have identical content/plugs/etc installed.

The same problem would/does exist for the offline installed user who later decides to go CCC.

I made the decision to live with the red lights as the alternative could/would lead to a bunch of problems I don't need. Due to this decision I have Sonar Platinum working like X3 but with a bunch of new bits!

Grum.

So clearly there is no registry scanning logic built into the app for this.
At this stage I don't mind hacking the registry or XML files or whatever to tell it that they are installed, if anything just to satisfy my obsessive compulsive disorder.

My best guess is that the light doesn't turn green until after you have installed the individual features via the Command Center. My OCD required that I re-install all of the synths and effects that I already had from previous versions simply to make the damn lights turn green. Not the end of the world but slightly annoying and time consuming.

I have the red lights too. If I went ahead and installed (technically reinstalling Melodyne, Dim Pro and Rapture), what problems would arise?

I was tempted to do it but then saw this thread. lol

I suspect that if we go ahead and reinstall the things we already have that are there, the difference would be that the green lights would go on, and that's about it. Until, of course, one of said things gets an upgrade (and in most cases, other than the core program, I'm frankly not holding my breath), in which case it would become easier to upgrade them from the CCC.
