I thought they sounded like crap

Are you using the prototypes that were included by mistake, or the updates that were made available earlier today? that would make a difference...especially because the original ones did indeed sound like crap if you just dragged into the FX bin and didn't toggle input echo on and off. Hence the update.

The following songs use only the amp sims for both the guitar and bass sounds. I encourage people to use their ears, and decide based on the sounds they hear rather than a random internet forum comment.

Is there a page on the cakewalk site that goes through each of the Amps? I'm super excited to try them out later today.

There is a "read me" with tips on the controls and such. Cakewalk really wants me to do an audio demo, especially showing things that aren't obvious like how the amps "clean up" when you turn down the input, but I'm at NAMM now. Meanwhile, the songs cited above have several sections with guitar through amp with no other sounds going on, so you can year the tones in isolation.

Judge for yourself.

I'm not sure where to locate these while using Sonar Platinum. I do not see anything in my list of audio effects entitled custom amps. Can you point the way for me?  Thank you...

I'd like to know this, too.

I have had a little time to play around with these now (the updated versions), and really like them.

Responsive is a word that comes to mind.

Crisp is another (on certain sounds).

I imagine they will sit nicely in a mix, with little tweaking outside of the FX Chain.

Truly impressed, Craig.

The short negative statement, with no supporting detail, oft used by the truly ignorant brigade. No value or credibility whatsoever.

I didn't know crap had a sound, so at least I learned something.
